my boss was sent from hell to kill me
#my supervisor stopped being my supervisor because he has like 12 jobs and they were all ballooning#so he had to start dropping some of them#but they are still ballooning wildly so i think more and more of his work is getting off-loaded onto me#which on the one hand means i have really good job security! and ill probably get a raise at some point!#but also means i keep getting handed half-finished projects that have super tight deadlines#so i have to untangle them and then finish them#on top of my normal stuff#and boy howdy am i worried that im going to screw something up and then everyone will know im a fraud and ill go to jail forever#im sure that posting on tumblr instead of working will make this easier and not harder!

15/25 pages for chapter one COMPLETE
#braindumps.txt#thankfully this one was able to be finished in a single sitting#uncomplicated lines basically no scenery#very little texturing#the next couple are. Not That#and the next drop is. 4 pages#next one after this is ALSO 4 pages but thankfully both are relatively heavy on narration#and the visuals are less load-bearing#there are about 3 panels. all on the next page i have to do. that will be uh. More Intense i think#cause the scenery is more complex in them#but otherwise its lots of talking heads#ive already reduced the amount of pages i have to do in the next 10 days to 3#and i have a feeling one of the others will also be very quick#so im not nearly as crunched for time as i thought <3#anyways tag rant over#i made up my own deadlines and its the first step into this#im sure no one would be mad if i change the upload schedule a bit#but im doin my best to ride out chapter one and then ill make chapter 2 easier on myself#and so on

There are a few rare occasions where I feel like a proper student rather than just someone wasting thousands in student loans, but I seem to save them up for the lowest moments
#student living#Biomed sciences#ive got a presentation coming up in anatomy and physiology so im currently tucked away in a silent study room with music playing on my phon#earbuds in with 2 textbooks open pen&paper out for notes as well as my laptop open to clarify organisation of said notes for my presentatio#this coming after having a meeting with my university adviser last Thursday about my 'attendance and engagement' 🙄#due to the worst spate of depression ive had in the last couple years cus i completely overwhelmed myself like an idiot#but hey at least im doing my presentation sooner than the night before the handin deadline and pulling an all nighter to pull it off#which is the other half of the student experience that i usually experience#but this is a reoccurring thing that i get really low then i have like a week of being super productive in which i exhaust myself#and as a result lose momentum because its not sustainable its all super fun#at least im actually researching instead of just skimming the abstracts of a load of potential journals and calling it a day#had to pull out the flashcards as well when i needed to draw out a flowchart to wrap my head around it and#i have neither my notebooks or post it notes with me as i didnt actually plan to study when i left home this morning#that would be too much organisation especially first thing in the morning when my brain doesnt kick in until 1pm

I am also perturbed bc a show I was invited to submit work to would close like so so so close to my thesis show and one of my professors is like. submit older work you don’t want to run the risk of anything going wrong. But the stipulation of that show is that all work must be for sale and the only older work I’d be comfortable to show in that space (it’s a gallery in ny….) would be clamgina but idk if I’d be comfortable with letting her go yet :’(
#the deadline is nov 11th so another option is id have to scramble to pull something else together on top of the rest of my course load#which I am also mostly neglecting in favor of my thesis

#feel so good. exam 2day went okay my essay was a load of gobbledegook but i got it done#literally sooo silly that they are still making me handwrite essays in timed conditions in exam halls at UNIVERSITY.. i thought i'd never#have to do that again after a levels i dont get why this module thinks its so special that it cant just do a normal essay online with#a deadline where i actually have access to sources and the films i am writing about etc...
